A new year usually marks the beginning of a new chapter; one that is met with such high anticipation and filled with expectations. With many people -around me & around the globe- bitc*ing about how 2014 was just THE WORST, including myself, I started to wonder. Was it really what 2014 brought or was it our unmet expectations? Then it hit me. Much like my black & gold obsession, when dreams and hard work are paired together they result in something beautiful, extraordinary.
So this year I decided to do something a little different.
I will add the following to my LIFE's resolutions...
STOP whining about not achieving goals as fast as I thought I would.
STOP putting myself down with every bump in the road.
STOP listening to those who believe dreams aren't achievable.
STOP focusing my energy on people or things that are not worth it.
The START part sure looks much better now without so many unnecessary hurdles. Doing this photo shoot was one of my many goals for 2014 and I managed to do it just in time to share it with you in the new year!
Photographer Abdallah Rushdi & Makeup artist Mai Ayman brought my gold look to life. Portraying a plastic luxurious feel with the main focus being the gold Zara jacket.
Look forward to the future guys! There is no reason to stay in the past because it's old news.
In fashion words... be gold! Now that is one thing that will never grow old.
