For two years now, Jumia has stayed right on track with the fashionable crowd in Cairo. The e-commerce magnate definitely cemented their leading status when it comes to online shopping. Not just that but the brand has infiltrated the fashion industry starting with their one year anniversary spectacular event, launching the Jumia Chic blog and just yesterday with their second year anniversary.

Topman top & jeans, Zara sleeveless top, Guess boots, accessories from Asos |

I really liked how the guest list was carefully selected and that in turn didn't cause an over-crowded event. The crowd mingled, enjoyed the fashion shows (by Vero Moda, Jack & Jones and Jumia's private label Agu), the delicious hors d'oeuvres and champagne! However, the fashion show was not the highlight of the evening. The screens behind the models were too bright to allow the clothes to show well. Also the models lacked life. Even though the show was done with dance movements, the models looked more robotic than energetic.
