Fashion week is over and the designers have put all their stuff out there for the world to see. I have been waiting to see what all the designers will introduce to us, will it be a new concept? a new fabric? what trend will they start? All these questions and more kept running through my mind as I started going through one runway/collection at a time. I got so excited that I skimmed ALL the runways, one after the other. I just couldn't stop. After I was done, I had nothing but designer names, stripes, denim, sandals and over-sized everything on my brain.
This year there is a lot of change on the runways when it comes to the designs; less classic, more edgy and artistic. Which I absolutely enjoyed!
The best looks in this list is based on how innovative and accessible the collection is. I think it is very important that when you look at the collection on the runway, you feel how it can be integrated in your wardrobe (not speaking of conceptual runways of course). This is only the first part of three coming your way.
Enjoy & Don't forget to share your thoughts in the comments below!
3.1 Phillip Lim

3.1 Phillip Lim
The beauty of this runway lies in the diversity. 5 looks completely different from one another and you can feel the difference between which type of man would be wearing that outfit. The mix of prints is very edgy and fashionable. I really like the grey suit with the black shirt (if you look closely, you will see that the shirt is designed like a blazer) and finally those Kimono inspired leather and checkered looks with edgy collars are absolutely -& wonderfully- Phillip Lim!
A. Sauvage
I see that a darker shade of yellow is storming the runways (a midway point between the trendy orange and yellow). The fitted crop trousers suit is a great option for a formal Spring wardrobe and the addition of a printed shirt is just the right touch. The white large collars work perfectly in this situation, even thought I'm not entirely big on them. That outfit in the middle, I have no clue. I mean it looks like Susan Sarandon ran out on the runway after too many drinks at lunch with her gal pals. Please notice the sunglasses, they are great!
Alexander McQueen
ohh, Alexander... where do I begin. I am a big fan of futuristic fashion and yet love the 50's & 60's styles. This is what I believe is combined here. You sort of get a feel of a Sin City: into the future type of feeling. I really like the red illusion used with the white and black coats to give it an extra dimension. Those on-going prints with the suits and coats speak out the artistic trend and finally those shoes! These men are dressed to kill and I am one happy victim.
Ami
I ADORE Ami. I mean, this runway is so beautiful and so rich I could cry. It is very rare that I find a runway that inspires me in so many different ways. Sometimes when designers spread themselves a little too thin they lose the point but here it is all one coherent piece of art. This runway has it all. Stripes, checkered, denim and orange which pretty much sums up all the trends for the Spring 2015. The denim vest, sweater and shirt underneath combo is great for chilly weather without heavy layers. I am so glad to see so many designers adopting the jumpsuit. Those checkered looks are uber trendy and finally the last four striking stripes looks - to die for. This entire collection speaks to me.
Berluti
I am becoming more and more a fan of Berluti. The classic lines, the beautiful colours are perfect for the modern day gentleman. It is a mascluine collection that finds its flair through colour and mix of fabric. Besides, who wouldn't love an adorable dogcessory on the runway?
Burberry
Complete reinvention of travel wear. Burberry gets points for using the power of colour and changing their oh-so-stale runway identity into a beautiful show. Influenced by Pharrell Williams Vivienne Westwood hats, the Burberry hats are more fun and door-friendly; if you are a tall guy like me, then Vivienne's hats will only mean embarrassing accidents in and out of places. The new bags are great and so versatile with different prints and sizes for every travelers' needs. The entire collection is relaxed and chic, just how every man should travel.
Canali
Even though there is nothing really special about this collection but these two looks attracted my attention the most. The print crop trousers, the shoes and of course the collars of the tops I find to be very interesting and can be played with.
Christopher Shannon
Miley Cyrus would be jealous of the models hair but that's not the topic at hand here. This collection is more for a teenage-punk fashionisto. It has the edge but loses the dirty effect punk looks tend to have, it's a clean punk.
Costume National
I'm thinking chic mafia boys ready for action! Stripes are essential to such a collection. That blazer is so mesmerizing, don't you think? The waist coat and coat combination without any shirt can be tricky; but with slim figures and the addition of a scarf it completely transforms.
Diesel Black Gold
The colours and the necessary use of belts is just pure diesel. The two-layer blazer and coat give a great effect to the entire outfits. Loving the leather jacket and white-zip trousers!
Dior Homme
Ahh... Dior. So elegantly beautiful, this time presented with a bit of a childish approach. It just feels like young buys on cool summer nights writing in their journal while listening to the radio. Simple yet poetic.
Impressive stuff
