7 Reasons to Look Forward to ZAAM's 2014 Collection

ZAAM bags has been getting a lot of love from Egyptian fashionistas. The designs are unique, fashionable and made with quality! At first, I got to know the brand through their collection for women and as always I assumed the designer Ahmed Azzam was only looking to invest in the much larger market of women's wear.

It was to my surprise that his winter 2013 collection featured bags for men too. Sure it was a very small collection - I assume to test the waters- but it was actually spot-on. The combination of design and colours exuded style with masculinity. His designs were simple and timeless which is the perfect element to add to men's wear, since -unlike women- men tend to use their items frequently rather than buy new things.
Keeping his 2013 collection in mind (shown above), I try and predict how his 2014 collection will be like and why you and I should definitely look forward to it!

1. He will experiment with colour and stay with simple styles. Lighter earthly tones and maybe some dark greens and blues.
2. Since this will be his second collection for men, he will probably have a clearer idea of what his target wants. With that in mind, he will expand his collection to being more versatile.
3. I totally see summer bags! Even though he might not have the time needed to release it this summer, I feel it to be a big part of his future collections.
 4. Compact: Since his 2013 collection were mostly travel bags and are on the larger size, I think this time he will think of hand and shoulder bags.
5. Improved quality of the bags as he will understand more about men's needs and how men's bags are usually abused and thrown around much harder than women.
6. I don't think ZAAM is ready to go crazy with men's bags just yet so I expect a classically designed collection.
7. Affordable pricing: If you consider that buying a ZAAM bag is more exclusive than buying a bag at a department store, then the price will seem very reasonable. After all, wouldn't you rather buy a bag that is carried by a few (or even just you) over one that is being bought by millions around the world?
