El-Sisi's Sensational Sunglasses

Egypt's president-to-be Abd El Fatah El-Sisi has been getting a lot of attention during the past year. Now that he is almost in the presidential palace with a whopping difference over his rival; I had to speak about something that has caught my interest, his choice of sunglasses. 

I have always wondered why Egyptian men in power always seem to lack style. Even though in my opinion power and style are actually synonymous. The thing that annoyed me the most is Sisi's choice of sunglasses. Every time I see him on TV with one of those Oakley sunglasses, I feel like I'm being suffocated. The world goes black and the only thing that is on my mind: WHY? 

I'm not political at all but I don't think there is anything in the political world that forbids having style or at least being up-to-date with worldwide trends. Even Late Libyan president Gaddafi had what can be called style. So, in order to get it out of my system, I have decided to hire myself as a stylist for El-Sisi. 

The Before

The results will completely change your opinion on whether a simple accessory can change a lot about someone's image or not.

In my imaginary role-play, the future president was excited for the change and yet felt he needed to maintain a conservative and age-appropriate image. That's why I started with a classic Thom Browne - The retro style is very in and the brown tones matche his skin tone.

I went for a bolder choice yet still on the same retro track. Another great option is the Garrett Leight sunglasses. They might not fit him perfectly but they totally speak military green.

Who doesn't like Persol sunglasses? their style is timeless and manly. I opted for a camo-cigar Persol which I believe looks great on him.

Even though he tried to run away as I pulled these out, I think they are a fresh alternative! Gold Ray-ban with a blue shade lens.

In order to fix Ray-ban's reputation, I had to pick another alternative quickly and it had to be the all-time favourite Wayfarer! He was totally into it until one of his children walked in wearing the same one.

Since Tod's just opened in Cairo Festival City, I ran there and got me these great dark brown pair. Definitely a good contender to the other styles.
